Description:

Coloring paper will be provided at the event. We will provide a picture with a tamil theme and kids need to color it

2. தமிழ் வேடம்

(Contest Type: Fancy Dress (Non-Competitive))

Description:

Kids should come in a costume that reflects a Tamil Leader.

3. பாப்பாப் பாட்டு

(Contest Type: Rhyme recitation (Non-Competitive))

Description:

Kids can recite any one poem from the following headings:

• எங்கள் மொழி நல்ல மொழி
• பச்சைக் கிளிப் பாடும்.
• மரம் வளர்ப்போம்.

1. தமிழ் ஓவியம்

(Contest Type: Drawing)

Description:

Drawing Paper will be given on the event day. We will provide a tamil theme and kids need to draw it.

2. பிள்ளைத்தமிழ்

(Contest Type: Aathichoodi recital - 120 Seconds)

Description:

Kids should recite Aathichoodi with meaning ((அ முதல் ஔ வரை உள்ள ஆத்திச்சூடி பொருளுடன் கூற வேண்டும். கால அளவு 120 நொடிகள்)).

3. குழந்தைப் பாட்டு

(Contest Type: Rhyme recitation)

Description:

Kids can recite any one poem from the following headings:

• சொல் ஒன்று பொருள் இரண்டு
• வண்ண வண்ணப் பூக்கள்.

1. தமிழ்ப் பேச்சு (Elocution - 90 seconds to 120 seconds)

Description:

Kids can choose and speak any topics from the following headings for about 90 seconds to 120 seconds:

• என் குடும்பம்
• எனக்குப் பிடித்த உணவு .

2. குறள்த் தேனீ (Thirukkural Bee)

Description:

Kids can choose Thirukurals from the following attached pdf file and practice to recite as many as they can within the allotted 120 seconds. The clarity, confidence and the number of Kurals recited will be considered to select the winners.

3. தமிழ்த் தேனீ (Spelling Bee)

Description:

A set of words has been published in the below mentioned pdf. There will be two rounds: First round will be written round where 30 words will be dictated and contestants will write. The top 10 will move to the second round where they will have written round with 20 words from published list and 10 words from outside the list. In case of a tie for the final prize, a tie breaker round will be conducted.

Description:

Kids can choose and speak any topics from the following headings for about 120 seconds to 150 seconds:

• நான் மிகவும் மகிழ்ந்த இன்பச் சுற்றுலா
• எனக்குப் பிடித்த தமிழ்த் தலைவர்.
• எனக்குப் பிடித்த பருவகாலம்

2. குறள்த் தேனீ (Thirukkural Bee)

Description:

Kids can choose Thirukurals from the following attached pdf file and practice to recite as many as they can within the allotted 150 seconds. The clarity, confidence and the number of Kurals recited will be considered to select the winners.

2. தமிழோடு 100 நொடி (Impromptu Speech)

Description:

Kids should be prepared with an idea of following 5 topics and they will be asked to select one topic from the lot and have to speak about that for 100 seconds in tamil.

• 1. தாத்தாப் பாட்டிக்கு ஒரு கடிதம்
• 2. உன் செல்லப் பிராணி
• 3. உனக்குப் பிடித்த விளையாட்டு
• 4. நயாகரா நீர்வீழ்ச்சி

3. கதை கதையாம் (Essay Writing – 500 Words)

Description:

Kids should write an essay about any of the following topics in 500 words.

• a) வாழிய செந்தமிழ்
• b) முயற்சி திருவினை ஆக்கும்
• c) தண்ணீர் சிக்கனம் தேவை இக்கணம்
